QUICK, name two types of businesses typically found in a revitalized downtown. Did you say antique stores and cafés? Well, until recently, Aberdeen only had eateries, but now, finally, we have an antique store once again. Thanks to Anne Morman and Lynn Rivers, the Coyote Publishing space at 321 S Main has been converted into Antinques on Main. The space is relatively small, but the pieces are wonderful. Not a fan of antiques? Consider it a “retro” shop instead. You’ll find a few mid-century modern pieces there, but most of the items are from before that time. Check out the picture of the old Olwin-Angell Department Store painted for a magazine ad that is hanging on the wall. Look familiar? You’re standing in the same building. Congrats Anne and Lynn, for adding a store our downtown really needs. | | Photo by Troy McQuillen
