WHAT DO YOU GET when you cross a Mac computer with internet, an iPod, and a cell phone? An "iPhone". After months of speculation, endless rumors, fan-made mock-ups and incredible hype, Apple Inc. finally unveiled their latest technological achievement - the "iPhone". Looking like something out of a trendy, multi-million dollar sci-fi film starring Tom Cruise, the iPhone features none of those cumbersome, stone-aged "push buttons". Instead Apple has implemented a new multi-touch display (a heavily patented technology) that they claim will revolutionize the traditional hand-held interface.
This pocket-sized device has got it all - mobile internet, cell phone, camera, music and video player, games, you name it. The best part for you Mac-geeks out there is that it runs Mac OS X natively. None of this stripped down app crap for iPhone. While not yet available to buy at the time this article was written, price is expected to be around $600. Pricey? Yes. But worth it? You decide. Until then, duct tape your mobile phone, your mp3 player, and your laptop together for a similar sensation.
