THURSDAY, JULY 27, 2006: An historic day in the annals of our publication. On that day A-List Magazine moved from page to stage. We sponsored and introduced our first community event, a performance by local musical group Groove Reflex.  And it was a humdinger of a show! 

    Groove Reflex’s high-energy improvisational funk had a big, enthusiastic crowd cheering, dancing and grooving for more than three hours. Blending three different sources of percussion with a keyboardist and bass and rhythm guitarists, Groove Reflex has crafted a unique style of pulsating, driving music that marries the bobbing, whirling dancers crowded to the stage with the musicians.

    “We are the Groove, you are the Reflex” one band member shouted to the audience between songs.  Hearing words from the band was a rare occurrence, as their music is strictly instrumental.  A-List man-about town, Jeremy Smith introduced the band, and Travis Schaunaman, A-List’s chief designer, added a few comments about the magazine. Thanks, Groove Reflex, for making the first official A-List event a memorable one.
