ABSOLUTELY! ABERDEEN, the public/private partnership challenged with growing Aberdeen, reached out to visiting pheasant hunters this past fall using a contest to gather their names. This campaign aimed to gather data from visiting hunters and then lure them back here to live. In return for providing their contact information, all entrants have a shot at winning a deluxe 2007 $5,000 hunting adventure. Nearly 2,000 people from all over the country submitted entries, creating a substantial database. Absolutely! Aberdeen’s executive director, Trishna Batra, will contact all entrants to see if she can convince any of them to move here.

Absolutely! Aberdeen’s next promo encouraged Aberdeen residents to attract friends and family who have moved away from town to move back. The bait? $5000! Locals fill out a short form that provides the name(s) of people who have moved away, and who seem like candidates to move back. In return for submitting a prospect’s name, the nominator and the person who was nominated are eligible to split a $5000 prize. Register online at absolutelyaberdeen.com.

Absolutely! Aberdeen will contact all those who were
referred, and extend help to anybody who has an interest in moving home. Absolutely! Aberdeen hopes to connect inquiries to available jobs as well as help hiring businesses communicate with people looking to move here.
