MUNCH A TACO with one hand, and browse the World Wide Web with the other. Taco John’s on east Sixth Avenue has offered a wireless internet connection since March. This may not be the first restaurant to offer hi-tech on their menu, but they’re surely the only taco joint. “It’s just another little thing we offer to customers,” said Kent Kolb, manager of the store. He hopes to attract more customers during breakfast hours, and was partly inspired by Taco John’s in Sioux Falls, which has seen success with a similar move.
If you see a bunch of geeks huddled around Taco John’s parking lot, and it’s not taco Tuesday, it may just be a few websniffers looking for quick connection.
Be sure to check out the other Wi-Fi hotspots in town including Culvers, CoffeeSmith, and the Red Rooster Coffee House. | | Photo by Shaun O'Connell
