Airport Cafe and Casino

E Hwy 12 Aberdeen, SD 57401 (605) 225-7210 - map it

Regionally famous for their Broasted Chicken, this Aberdeen eatery recently relocated to a highway location instead of the airport terminal.

Alonzos

14 1st Ave SE Aberdeen, SD 57401 225-6100 - map it

New location, new menu additions, new atmosphere.  Offers a truly unique dining experience with International cuisine for the adventurous as well as traditional SD fare.  Smoke Free is a big plus.

Big Fellas

5759 Hwy 12 E. Aberdeen, SD 57401 (605) 225-6392 - map it

This inconspicuous tavern claims to have the best steak and burgers around. You be the judge of that and let us know.

Canterbury Ltd.

412 S Main St. Aberdeen, SD 57401 (605) 225-8599 - map it

Fine dining for lunch. Soups, sandwiches and delectable deserts make this a downtown favorite. Order at the counter and your meal is prepared right before your eyes. Right across from the Capitol Theatre.

Flame Restaurant and Lounge

2 S. Main St. Aberdeen, SD 57401 (605) 225-2082 - map it

For years and years, the Flame has been Aberdeen’s restaurant of choice. If you are steak fan, they claim to be second to none. Located at the historic “crossroads” of Aberdeen where Main street crosses the railroad tracks.

Griffs Place

38401 133rd St Aberdeen, SD 57401 (605) 225-8790

Although it's bit out of the way, we hear nothing but great things from this “out of town” spot.  Drive west on hwy 12 1 1/2 mi from Jct 281, turn right (at Centennial Homes billboard). Left again at stopsign, and 2 more miles west. Let us know what you think.

Guadalajara

3015 6th Ave SE Aberdeen, SD 57401 (605) 229-7555 - map it

After many years without a Mexican Restaurant, Guadalajara’s brought back an ethnic favorite to Aberdeen.

Mavericks

1702 SE 6th Ave. Aberdeen, SD 57401 (605) 225-1314 - map it

The parking lot of this fine establishment is always full; full of pickup trucks and SUVs, meaning they serve some pretty serious beef. A good variety of other choices as well.

Mazatlan

1 S First St Aberdeen, SD 57401 (605) 229-1222 - map it

Aberdeen’s newest Mexican restaurant. A bit modern for it’s historic location, but who cares, they do Mexican right.

Millstone Family Restaurant

2210 SE 6th Ave. Aberdeen, SD 57401 (605) 229-4105 - map it

Family dining doesn’t get much better or more affordable, and the non smoking environment is inviting and pleasing to the sinuses.

Minervas Restaurant and Bar

1400 NW 8th Ave. Aberdeen, SD 57401 (605) 226-2988 - map it

Minerva’s is part of regional “chain” although there is nothing chain-y about this classy establishment. A lavish wood interior done up in the Craftsman theme makes this place the best restaurant setting in town.

Moccasin Creek Country Club

NE 40th Ave. Aberdeen, SD 57401 (605) 226-0900 - map it

The minute you step into the country club, you sense the upscale environment. Call ahead to make sure there’s room for you and enjoy an evening of class.

Murphys Steakhouse and Pub

2727 SE 6th Ave. Aberdeen, SD 57401 (605) 226-4292 - map it

A throwback to an Irish pub, Murphy’s is popular for their brunches. Let us know what you think of Murphy’s.

North 40 Barn

NE 8th Ave. Aberdeen, SD 57401 (605) 229-1997 - map it

New owner Doug Nieman hopes to keep this favorite spot a favorite spot. Yes, it is a barn so you can’t miss it. It's very family and group-friendly. A higher-end menu (and flaming desserts) is available by special request. Great burgers and chicken, among other things. If you’ve never been, shame on you.

Perkins

1401 SW 6th Ave. Aberdeen, SD 57401 (605) 225-9050 - map it

This is a great place for muffins, pies, breakfast and late night omlette fixes. Of course, they serve all meals as well.

RGs Restaurant

2402 SE 6th Ave. Aberdeen, SD 57401 (605) 226-0316 - map it

A favorite among Aberdonians, RG’s is another family hot spot with great comfort food at a great price. A-List commends RG’s for a recent facelift that once and for all shed it’s “Sambos” skin.

Sammys Restaurant and Omlette Shop

212 S Main St. Aberdeen, SD 57401 (605) 229-4753 - map it

Famous for omlettes and big breakfasts that will make you content for the whole day. Because the place is so popular for breakfast, you’ll only get breakfast and lunch at Sammy’s.

Shenanigans

Lakewood Mall Aberdeen, SD 57401 (605) 225-6210 - map it

It’s a bar, it’s a restaurant, its both! A clean separation between the two makes this an appropriate eatery for the whole family. It’s located in the Lakewood mall but has its own entrance and stays open later than mall stores.

Starlight Truck Stop

Jct Hwy 12 & 281 Aberdeen, SD 57401 (605) 225-5913 - map it

If you look on a map, you can actually follow these two highways all the way to the edges of the country. Meaning, the Starlite is located in prime spot, and has been for many years. Sure it’s a truck stop, but we sense its popularity makes it hard for truckers to get a table from time to time.

Steak and Buffet

2220 SE 6th Ave. Aberdeen, SD 57401 (605) 226-2394 - map it

A massive buffet that’s always busy. Hearty food, great prices, and yes, there’s even steak on the buffet (cooked to your liking).

Ward Plaza Fine Dining and Pub

104 S Main St. Aberdeen, SD 57401 (605) 725-4260 - map it

This is the place to go if you’re looking for restored elegance, charm and great food. The hotel has undergone a complete restoration, inside and out. No smoking in the bar or restaurant.

Wild Oats

322 S. Main St. Aberdeen, SD 57401 (605) 725-6287 - map it

Don’t be mislead by this nightclub’s “bar” appearance. The food there is awesome. Come for a late dinner and ease into the nightlife. A great spot for business lunches, too. Check with the waiter for upcoming events and entertainment.
